OVERVIEW OF PRODUCTS & SERVICES
There has never been a more appropriate time for companies to concentrate
on energy cost reduction. With shrinking profits, an uncertain economy
and terrorism causing the world to remain unsettled, reducing ongoing line
item operating expenses such as electrical consumption, is of paramount
importance. Electrical consumption can be reduced in numerous ways; from
buying new, more efficient mechanical equipment to retrofitting existing
mechanical equipment with energy reducing modifications such as Variable
Frequency Drives ("VFDs"), power factor correction capacitors,
and other controls, specifically selected to increase the efficiency rating
and therefore reduce the energy consumption of the equipment. Energy consumption
products we represent vary widely from oil additives to wall and equipment
coatings that reduce the operating temperature inside the buildings or
operating equipment. Nakahoma represents the only true wall coating on
the market today that carries a certified R-19 rating. We also carry HID
lighting products such as the Watt Warrior¨ and GE light bulbs that reduce
the ongoing operating costs of HID and other high cost commercial lighting.
The principals at Nakahoma have a history of saving companies serious money
in these type line item operating expenses. We have been successful reducing
ongoing operating costs in telecommunications and energy expense reduction.
Now we are concentrating exclusively on energy consumption reduction. We
work hand-in-hand with our clients to help them with Energy Reduction Strategies
that serves their interests both short and long term.
The products we represent are proven and will save you real dollars each
month on your energy consumption. They can be applied individually or in
concert to have an aggregate effect on your company's energy usage. Some
of the products have a Return on Investment ("ROI") of less than
12 months, making them affordable and practical.
Energy Reduction and other products we represent are:
• Frigi-Tech - an HVAC and
Refrigeration Refrigerant Additives - low cost retrofits for all of your
HVAC and refrigeration (walk-in-freezers and coolers, ice machines and
any other refrigeration you may utilize in your business). These additives
will save you money on your monthly energy costs because they increase
the efficiency of your HVAC and refrigeration equipment. They also increase
equipment life and reduce maintenance costs. Frigi-Tech will increase the
overall efficiency (increases heat transfer and thermal transfer) of HVAC
and other refrigeration 12% to 25%. The major by-product of these increased
efficiencies is reduced energy consumption. Frigi-Tech has been installed
at the University of Texas, Georgetown Hospital in Georgetown, Texas, The
Plaza Business Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, Gamma Biologicals in Houston,
Texas, Rockwell Space Operations Facility, numerous Burger Kings, McDonalds,
and Honk Kong University.
• Thermal & Other Special Applications
Coatings - Our flagship coating decreases energy consumption
by reducing infrared and ultraviolet rays over 99%. It is the ONLY coating
to carry a R-19 certification. The R-19 rating is as effective as 8"
of new bat insulation. It also has a 30 year life without loss in insulating
effectiveness. Other very effective coatings we represent are; 1) a rust
proofing product for any metal application that is approved for use by
six (6) states DOT and a rust proofing product for underwater use, 2) UV
controlled coatings that are graffiti proof; even Krylon paint can be wiped
off with a water based cleaning solution, 3) concrete and cinder block
moisture sealers that can be applied to new or existing walls, 4) asbestos
and lead paint encapsulation coatings that are EPA approved and that can
be applied via paint spray guns, 5) coatings for lining fiberglass and
metal tanks that hold or store liquids, and 6) other special application
coatings to reduce heat from such sources such as steam pipes and heat
exchangers. Nakahoma has coatings to solve special situations and applications.
• Watt Warrior® -
An HID lighting energy reduction system. No lamp, bulb or ballast replacement
is necessary. Watt Warrior® reduces electrical consumption up to forty
percent (40%) on HID lighting.. Total client's monthly electrical consumption
can be reduced between 10 to 15% for applications such as car dealerships,
parking garages or hotel/casino applications where HID lighting is one
of the main electrical consumption components of the monthly total electric
bill. With a ROI of less than two (2) years, coupled with the fact the
Watt Warrior® will save money for over fifteen years, it is destined
to become a leading product in the energy consumption reduction field.
General Electric has tested and approved the Watt Warrior® for use
with their HID light bulbs and ballasts. New, specially designed GE lamps
can be combined with the Watt Warrior® for even greater savings and
a whiter, brighter lighting.
• TriMax® - an oil additive
that improves the performance of air compressors, backup generators, and
large motors you may utilize in your business. TriMax® will improve
the efficiency of the air compressors from 10% to 20%, reduce overall wear,
and reduce compressor recovery time. It also reduces energy consumption
by reducing the amp draw of the treated equipment. It eliminates dry start-ups
in all treated equipment. TriMax® may be used in gearboxes, hydraulic
systems, emergency generators, drives chains, conveyers, auto and truck
engines and blower motors to name just a few applications. Nakahoma is
the exclusive distributor for TriMax® in the USA.
• Transient Voltage Surge Suppressors ("TVSS")
- a product that not only protects all of your delicate electronic equipment
from catastrophic strikes such as lightning, but can prolong the life of
your lighting, computer equipment and other sensitive electronics now commonplace
in the business environment. Installing the TVSS units on all of your electrical
panels may slightly reduce your monthly energy consumption as well.
• Power Factor Correction Equipment
("Capacitors") - applied at the motor level will
not only decrease energy consumption but will significantly extend the
life of the equipment. Capacitors today are smaller and more easily applied
at the motor level than a few years ago. They have also come down in price
to a level where the ROI is usually less than one year making them a fast
return on money spent. The capacitors have a life of over twenty years
so the savings are realized for decades. By combining several of the solutions
aggregate energy savings can easily approach 30% to 35%! Return on your
investment for these products can be over 30% per year with breakeven usually
within 12 to 24 months, depending on the product mix you apply to your
